Raymond M. Craig, 84, of Kewanee, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill.

Services are 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian, Kewanee. Burial is in Wethersfield Cemetery. Visitation is 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Schueneman-Tumbleson, Kewanee, and 9 a.m. to services Monday at church.

He was born Feb. 6, 1922, to Ross and Leila Craig. He married Myra Hadsall Sept. 8, 1946.

Survivors are wife; children, Dan, Martha Vigor, both Kewanee, Doug, Clinton, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Roland, Kewanee.

Kewanee where she sang in the Church choir for many years. She was stricken with polio in 1953 but lead a very active life including, singing with the community “Mother Singers”, serving as a girl and cub Scout leader in her children’s troops. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and all forms of needlework. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with the family.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the First Christian Church, Kewanee, Il. Brian Giese will officiate. Visitation will be at the Church from 5:00 P.M. until the time of services. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 30, in the Wethersfield Cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church. The Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. is in charge of the arrangements.

The family area is on the south side of the road where the road curves from west to north and in about three rows. Buried here are Swan Vigor and his wife Carolina Nelson, Swan's son Arthur Vigor and his wife Gerda Nelson, Swan's son John A. Vigor, Arthur's daughter Gertrude Vigor and her husband Harold Olson.

Marriage could have been in 1909 instead of 1911 - conflicting reports
published in Arthur & Gerda's obituaries. Her obituary also says that
she was born in Sweden on May 2, 1891, but her tombstone says a different
date.
