There is a 13 year old William Pease living with another family in an 1860 Michigan census, Ottawa County, Ottawa Township. This probably won't be him because his obituary states that he came with his parents to Sheffield, Illinois in 1848.

There is a 53 year old William H Pease living as a boarder with several other Pease individuals in Corcord Township, Bureau County, Illinois in the 1900 census. Others are George A (39), George A (12), Samuel L (10), Charles L (9) and Herbert (6). The William Pease was born in Michigan and says his father was born in New York but his mother was from Michigan.

William married Arilla Gipe on 12 Mar 1877. Arilla (daughter of George Gipe and Elizabeth Barncord) was born in May 1857 in Illinois; died in 1917. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The 1900 census lists her name as Lily. Close enough to Arilla to definitely say it's the same person.
