Unmarked plot for Theophil Henry Dollander
Status: Unmarked; 8/31/2005. From his obit he was buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery Galesburg on May 19, 1930. I contacted that Monument Company who has the records and they only have record of ownership of the plot not burial. They made a burial card after I was there. There is no headstone. Me. Vigor

Valentine and letter
Valentine and letter
Sent from England to Mary Elizabeth (Motley) Nicholson, whose son Jimmie (James) had died in an accident.

I'm not sure exactly what the link is between this teacher in England, her class, and the Nicholson family in the U.S.A. A small card enclosed with the valentine and letter says that it is from "Jimmie's Classmates and Teacher." Maybe he went to school in England for a while before they moved to the U.S.

Military Wedding Takes Place Sunday
The marriage of Miss L. Izora Hedburg and Joseph Dollander took place at 9:30 o'clock last evening at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Viletta Hedburg of West Thirteenth St.
The young couple took their places under an arch which was elaborately decorated with flags and foliage. They were unattended. Mrs. L. C. Trent played the wedding march and also sang "Keep the Home Fires Burning." The ceremony was performed in the presence of thirty guests by Rev. L. C. Trent. The double ring ceremony was very impressive.
As this was a military wedding, the home was decorated with red, white and blue.
The bride's gown was of white embroidered organdy with which she wore a long sash of red, white and blue satin. Her bouquet was of beautiful white roses in which was placed a small American flag and several of the Allies' flags.
The bride graduated from the Kewanee High School class of 1915 and has been engaged in teaching school the past three years. She will remain at home with her mother while her husband is in the service.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dollander and has been engaged in farm work practically all of his life. He is among the selected men who will leave tomorrow for Camp Grant. He is one of the alternates.
Mr. and Mrs. Dollander are popular and well liked young people and their many friends will extend hearty best wishes to them.
