"This is most certainly Sven August Wigar from Horn parish in the south part of Östergötland province, close to the Småland border. According to the passport register on the Emigranten CD, Sven August and his wife (no name) got passports to North America in 1858 (no more precise date mentioned in this source). Also a widow Anna Nilsdotter and a farmhand Victor Nilsson from Horn received passports the same year."

56 A researcher reported this marriage year as 1894, as well as the birth of their first daughter as 1895. This seems to be right although it conflicts with what is in the Illinois State Marriage Index. Their other kids were born in the 1890s through the early 1910's. Family F263

Kewanee where she sang in the Church choir for many years. She was stricken with polio in 1953 but lead a very active life including, singing with the community “Mother Singers”, serving as a girl and cub Scout leader in her children’s troops. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and all forms of needlework. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with the family.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the First Christian Church, Kewanee, Il. Brian Giese will officiate. Visitation will be at the Church from 5:00 P.M. until the time of services. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 30, in the Wethersfield Cemetery, Kewanee, Il. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church. The Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. is in charge of the arrangements.
