Documents | Wedding article for Joe and Izora Military Wedding Takes Place Sunday The marriage of Miss L. Izora Hedburg and Joseph Dollander took place at 9:30 o'clock last evening at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Viletta Hedburg of West Thirteenth St. The young couple took their places under an arch which was elaborately decorated with flags and foliage. They were unattended. Mrs. L. C. Trent played the wedding march and also sang "Keep the Home Fires Burning." The ceremony was performed in the presence of thirty guests by Rev. L. C. Trent. The double ring ceremony was very impressive. As this was a military wedding, the home was decorated with red, white and blue. The bride's gown was of white embroidered organdy with which she wore a long sash of red, white and blue satin. Her bouquet was of beautiful white roses in which was placed a small American flag and several of the Allies' flags. The bride graduated from the Kewanee High School class of 1915 and has been engaged in teaching school the past three years. She will remain at home with her mother while her husband is in the service. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dollander and has been engaged in farm work practically all of his life. He is among the selected men who will leave tomorrow for Camp Grant. He is one of the alternates. Mr. and Mrs. Dollander are popular and well liked young people and their many friends will extend hearty best wishes to them. | |
