Text | Fri, Apr 7, 2006 at 9:27 PM I believe I can help you with your request for more info on your gt- gt grandfather-- Thomas S.W. Motley who was born 24/2/1827. I found the young married couple in the 1851 census U.K. Well, young enough! Thomas was aged 24 and Rebecca aged 30. Thomas was a Butcher and was born in Long Sutton, Lincoln. Rebecca I also found the marriage ref of Thomas and Rebecca in 1850 + can send the PRO address in UK where you can write for a copy of their marriage cert which will reveal fathers names for both. Thomas' second given name was actually Storr=the name he was married under His parents were Thomas and Sarah Motley. Thomas also had a brother Frederick James Motley born 1822 and who married Sarah Ann HOELL in 1848. As regards William Whittle. He was Christened on 18th Oct 1814 in Donington-In-Holland,Lincoln. His mothers name was Sarah Whittle. If any of this is of interest get back to me and I'll send more details. Following this email will be a copy of the 1851 census | |
