Text | Bureau County Republican May 26, 1910 Page 5, column 1 & 2 Wyanet William Henry Pease was born at Flint, Mich., May 30, 1847. He died May 18, 1910, at the home of his sister, Mrs. E.L. Watson, of Wyanet. In 1848 his parents came to Sheffield, Ill and since that time Bureau county has been his home. He lived a quiet life, was kind hearted and ready to lend a helping hand, and will be missed by friends and acquaintances. In 1875 he married Miss Arilla Gipe. To them were born four children, two of whom still live, Mrs. Nora Imes, of Bradford, and Leonard Pease, of Wyoming. Two sisters and three brothers survive him, Mrs. E.L. Watson, of Wyanet, Mrs. Hattie Park, of Murray, Ia., George and Frank, living in Sheffield, and James of Norway, Ia. The funeral was held Friday at 10 a.m. from the home of George in Sheffield, Rev. Parsons of the Congregational church, officiating. Those present from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. L.L. Watson of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. George Clark, Mineral; Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Wilson, Princeville; and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Green, Kewanee. The family are grateful for the many expressions of sympathy and floral tributes. [Ed: Thank you S. for providing me this information.] | |
