Documents | Census -- New York, Lewis County, Leyden, 1850 Although this 1850 record seemed like quite a correct match at first, I have since found an 1860 census record that makes me doubt. In the 1860 census record (Warren County, Illinois) there is a Daniel Tinker, from Connecticut, wife Matilda (better match), from New York, and children include Jennette (age 9 in 1860) and Charles ("Uncle Charles Tinker"). There would be no sibling link to Mary though they are likely cousins. Then again, I have a IL state marriage record that my Jennett Tinker got married in 1857, so she couldn't have been in an 1860 census as a 9-year-old. I guess the 1860 Jennette Tinker is my Jennett Tinker's cousin. CONFUSING! =============== David Tinker, 40, Connecticut Naty (Waty, Maty [for Matilda?]), 36, New York Lucinda, 16, New York Mary, 16, New York Jennet, 13, New York Gonza, 7, M, New York Delia, 5, New York Norman, 3, New York Allicia, 1, New York |
